Our legal team has sent a letter to Director Gustavo Velasquez of the California Department of Housing & Community Development.

This coming Saturday at 9 AM, we will be at Turquoise to raise balloons to the proposed 238-foot height of the building so that we, along with the surrounding community, can fully grasp how tall this structure will be.

The developer of perhaps the most controversial project in recent San Diego history is scheduled to speak to the YIMBY Democrats of San Diego on Wednesday.

Our leadership team is meeting with elected officials, community groups, and homeowners' associations to discuss the 23-story tower project, gather positions, and build support; more updates are coming soon.

San Diegans for Responsible Planning has retained a law firm that specializes in land use litigation. We are preparing a letter to be sent to local and state officials expressing our arguments against and opposition to this project.

The developer is relying on the State's Density Bonus Law to fast-track approval for a massive high-rise with a mix of residential and visitor accommodations.

A 23-story high-rise building may soon be coming to the Pacific Beach neighborhood. It would be the second development of its kind to catch the attention of community members this year that will exceed the 50-year-old 30-foot Coastal Height Limit in the area.

As San Diego City officials continue to sneak quietly behind their constituents and  groom our communities for financiers and builders, there is a grassroots movement gaining traction.
